This public education campaign raised funds and shared the story of an arrest stemming from advanced surveillance techniques.

Roy Harryman Marketing Communications was honored to be a part of the Kansas City Police Foundation's 2020 campaign to support enhanced technology for the department. We spent a full day interviewing officers, collecting information and developing the storyline about how technology helps bring justice. That was followed by extensive editing and collaboration. We don't want to overstate our role, but we're elated to announce that the foundation met its goal of $700,000. Looking for creative ways to tell your small business or non-profit story? Let's talk.

The full text of the campaign from the foundation's website follows:

"We are asking for your support!

"Be a part of the Community Partnership Campaign and help the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department continue to make Kansas City safer!

"This community has experienced enormous stress due to recent protests as well as many other ongoing challenges during a health crisis. We believe that the time is now for our community to invest in supportive technology to help our KCPD work on solutions to violent crime, getting our city off the FBI’s list of 10 Most Violent Cities and making our neighborhoods and workplaces safer for all our citizens – now and in the future. Our Kansas City Police Department needs us now more than ever.

"We invite you to become a Police Foundation of Kansas City Community Partner – Investing in a Safer Kansas City with a donation. Your gift will have a direct impact on the future of our community."
